On Tuesday, Janurary 31, 2012, Fourth Grade and 5K students kicked off the Beaver Project by looking at a beaver pelt and feeling its texture. They also studied a piece of wood that a beaver had gnawed on. Along with this, they watched two videos about beavers on the smartboard. Afterwards, the students worked with their partners and researched beavers. Half of the students used the computer lab, while the others used books. On Thursday, February 2, 2012 the groups switched from books to computers, or computers to books. Students have begun to write papers about beavers.
