REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION FROM CASSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
English: 4 credits
Courses Include: English 9, English 10, English Strategies, Junior Lit., Senior Com., Senior Lit.
Mathematics: 3 credits required & either math or science must be 4 credits required
Courses Include: Advanced Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, AP Calculus (DL), Calculus, Math Apps. I, Math Apps. II, Statistics, Technical Math I (DL), Trigonometry
PE: 2 credits
Courses Include: PE, Personal Fitness, and Advanced Pers. Fitness (offered ½ credit each year)
Social Studies: 3 credits
Courses Include: Economics, Government, Psychology, Social Issues, U.S. History, Wisconsin History, World Civilization, and Intro. to Philosophy (DL), Intro. to Criminal Justice (DL) (students must pass Government in order to graduate)
Sciences: 3 credits required & either math or science must be 4 credits required
Courses Include: Anatomy and Physiology, Animal Science, Biology I, Biology II, Chemistry, Chemistry II, Criminilistics, Dairy Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Physics, Soil and Crop Science, Veterinary Science, Natural Resources (DL), (some of these credit options may not be counted as science credits by some colleges, and students must pass Earth Science and Biology in order to graduate)
Health: 1/2 credit (students must pass Health in order to graduate)
Business: 1 credit- (must take Info. Processing and Personal Finance)
Other Business Courses Include: Accounting I, Advanced Accounting (DL), Accounting II (DL), Desktop Publishing, Intro. to Business, Business Law & Global Business (DL), Business & Consumer Law (DL)
******17.5 credits required courses + 8.5 elective credits = 26 credits to graduate (after 2008) ****
NOTES: The school reserves the right to establish minimum enrollment limits appropriate to the classes listed in this booklet. A class may be cancelled, split into two sections, balanced for enrollment, have the instructor changed, or offered by distance learning network as needed by the school. Other administrator pre-approved or transfer credits may be used towards graduation requirements and graduation requirements may be different for students with an IEP.
Material fees will be established prior to the beginning of each school year.
Regulations regarding such matters as grading, attendance, etc. are contained in the Student Handbook or are distributed the first day of class.
